+1 This is an amazing Mod, defenatly deserves more players. Maybe i can get my bro to get his friends playing it, since none of mine play 2142 (A shame, they prefere Borderlands and Mass Effect 2, not saying there bad games or anything.

I sincerely hope we get mod tools. EA and Dice need to make a great game for once. All their previous games were good, but NEVER reached their full potential. They probably do it on purpose too.

Well there's a turnaround. Earlier they sid they would work on mod tools, almost to assure the public that they would do a better job than CoD:MW2. Oh well, if thats really the case then I may cancel my pre-order.

Well, just go with the Unreal Development Kit since it's absolutely free and uses a great engine (UE3). With enough knowlegde you can do anything with it. The problem is you won't have a playerbase to start with I think and I fear no one here has enough time to program it although the support from EPIC is very good and there are a LOT of tutorial vids from them...

BF2 was at least released with the loose promise of mod tools further down the line, not so with BFBC2. And reading the (rather silly) reasons for not releasing server files I'd say they're talking about the retail game. But have fun living in your bubble, I've been burned by DICE one too many times (and yet I keep coming back :X)

I'd love to play more, but I rarely got the time to play anything really and if I do its either TF2 or FH2... But Im sure to reinstall 2142 when new update for FS is out even if it meant to just check it out on my own, which has been the case for the past few times I've decided to check back on the mod...

You do realize that BFBC2 won't have any mod tools right? They're not even planning on releasing the server files.

Another Game = Another Mod. So yeah, the Mod will eventually die, that's pretty much certain given the 2142 playerbase.

They want new maps (and stuff) really, and have played the currently used ones alot over the years. I do see new ppl every day I'm on though, but not all at once ofc.

When the new map(s) are out the numbers will suddenly jump - if the past is any guide (which it usually is).
