Ahh, but without Desert Combat you wouldn't even have the source game that Project Reality is based on. A lot of the DC team got snaffled up by DICE to work on BF2.

Can't hold a candle to Project Reality, though. Matter of fact I didn't like it too much, too arcadeish for me.

Problem with PR is the more hardcore parts of its player base that insists on making life hell for newcomers.

And don't even get me started on that Apache. Ouch!!!

Yeah, I remember jumping on Ventrillo with friends and playing Desert Combat many a night.

Quite suprised Desert Combat wasn't in there for BF1942, that was BF2 before there was a BF2, cracking mod.

You mirror many of my own favourites there: I loved both GC and Pirates, and really wanted to get Red Orchestra.
