GC was a really good mod, but had a bit of a different approach to gameplay. FS has a bigger focus on authenticity and atmosphere and a very different approach to teamwork ("subconscious teamwork" and "withering fire" -- basically, the gadgets you're given and the fact that small-arms can damage vehicles means people will help the team even when lone-wolfing, and will naturally move towards vehicles to engage them, creating fire fights around walkers and whatnot).

Yes, there are differences between FS and GC, but they're all good I'd say. Hopefully we can make this a regular thing again as we approach the release of new content. Some really good games tonight, looking forward to more of the same.

Wow, I had loads of fun today. Seems I do need to get used to some of the differences with Galactic Conquest ^^. As well as just get to know the maps and the weapons.

I hope we can do this again some time.

Hold the line was definitely the strategy of the day yesterday; I'd love to see more plans come together that well.

...and, of course, doing that well when defending a shuttle wouldn't be bad, either.

Really good, very fun CG today.

The games lasted long enough (360, that was excellent blind) for more thought to go into improved strategies - like that shockingly good tower defense.

Can't believe how long you held that last CP against our all out attack.

I always got shot while lineing up on you guys up there.

For such a short notice, it was a very good cg.
We had a nice final stand in Bestin where a few of us went in the tower near the final rebel cp and we just killed anything we saw. That is, until the cp got capture from behind.

Good to hear! My nephew is getting baptized tomorrow and my brother is having a celebration at his house. I should be home for dinner after which I should be able to attend! Looking forward to it!

Really good games this Saturday, we had usually 10-12 people at all times. I couldn't play as much as I wanted to though.

Anyway, I'll be there tomorrow again, I had tons of fun.

Cool, I ought to be able to show up for Saturday, maybe Sunday. I wonder if we'll end up with enough people to play on some of the mid-size maps.

Aye, yeah, sorry, that should be GMT+1 taking British Summertime into account.

I'd say Saturday and Sunday, I'm most likely to be able to make the Sunday one myself, but you tend to get a lot of people making the Saturday events when they are held. Will put up a post later tonight.
