I for one love flying in these type of games, so I would agree.

Let's brainstorm a bit about:
how to organize
how to get people to join
who hosts?
which maps
what kind of scoring system
what else?

For organization, we'll need someone to keep track of everything: teams, scores and plan matches. Planning matches should be done in a way so that everyone can make it.

Outside the people I've seen posting here, I have no idea who is playing. The first CG I joined had quite a lot of ppl. I guess you guys all have your network. I guess that should be a good way of getting ppl to join.

The host is also something I can't say much about. I know BI hosts the CGs, so I guess we could ask them. However, I don't know how must effort it costs to host such a server. So I am not sure if we can just assume that they are willing to host that server anytime any place.

For the maps from the ones I played, these seem fit to me, I don't really know all the names
The tatooine map (mos espa I think).
The jungle map (endor?)

Of course first strike is made for loads of people, but so was galactic conquest. The maps I've played so far seem to be fit for smaller amounts of people.

Maybe something like that can be set up for first strike? Say a team is about 4-8 people of which 4 would play at one time.

Enough people will have to be interested and there would have to be some organisation and keeping track of score, but I think it should be possible. A big clan could for example have multiple teams that would also compete against each other.

Anyway, it was just an idea, I wonder what other people think of this.
