In that case, I suggest reinstalling it all as it sounds like there has been a mistake somewhere. Uninstall first strike and 2142 using the dedicated program uninstallers.

Now reinstall 2142 and then update it to the latest patch (1.5).

Now install First Strike, then run the autoupdater. Then try again.

Also, try checking out my install guide here:
http://forums.fsmod.com/viewtopic.php?id=9081&p=2

Hi there
Well i downloaded the newest Version of FS an FS_SP to try this Mod, but i got a little Problem wich i do not have in my original bf 2142..
I can start the Game without Problems and load an map, but after hitting the play button after maploading it just does nothing or is only showing me the map background and a huge black square (map i guess). it doesnt crash at all, i can move my mouse, without seeing the cursor but noticing it as i hear some *pling* sounds at moving around (i guess it is if the cursor touches an button) and i can switch between that and the menu by hitting ESC without problems.. but i cant really get my soldier to spawn anywhere as i cant see the buttons or the cursor at all...

Im running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on an Athlon quadcore system with 2gig ram and an geforce 9600 gt. Monitor is an 16:10 one with 1440:900 max resolution.

would be nice if anyone could help me here as i would be glad to try this mod

greez
