Looks like it has potential to be pretty good. Been a long time since I played a semi-decent Star Trek game. It has such a rich universe too.

They have a nice game engine they have developed for this, gameplay wise it is going to be a bit like Bridge Commander but good apparently. They have just released a ship viewer ap so you can get a feel of how the ships will look in the engine, and have included AI so you can watch a few ships duking it out with each other. Looks pretty sweet, will be watching this with interest. The full game will most likely come out next year.

The team is creating their own modable game engine. The game sounds like it will be good, but the modable game engine sounds very interesting ....

Just came across this the other day, some very nice details and dynamic lighting effects going on here, check out the vids. Don't know what the game will be like, but it sure looks pretty.
