well i disabled norton and i am downloading 1.5 now so i will soon see if it works.

Part of the issue is that you're saving to temporary internet files, perhaps.

Try to download the file to somewhere more long-term on your harddrive, install it from there.

Did you try disabling Norton while downloading and installing? Seems like Norton is blocking it.

WS.Reputation.1 seems to be a common problem. Check here:

i am haveing a problem downloading 1.5.
I click on one of the links fom the news page and start downloading 1.5. after it finishes it says "verifiing FirstStrike1.5.exe," after a while it asks me if i want to run it so i click run. shortly afterwards it says
"windows cannot find 'C:\users\Desktop\AppData\local\Microsoft\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\PBM9I4C0\2010_08_26_FirstStrike_v1.5[1].exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

and then my anti virus software (Norton) says it found a threat in "2010_08_26_FirstStrike_v1.5[1].exe (WS.Reputation.1)"

I tried downloading from all the links but they all do the exact same thing. PLease help. i've been REALY looking forward to playing 1.5
