The graphics problems you are describing sounds like a known (and soon fixed) bug on a specific map. Are you using an NVidia graphics card? Try starting a LAN game on any map other than Battle of Yavin and see if you still have the same issues.

FirstStrike modifies no original files at all, so any problems related to vanilla BF2142 are not caused by FirstStrike. The connection problems you've been having is something everyone is experiencing. The EA Master server is apparently not working correctly at the moment. Click HERE for more information on this.

Don't even worry about it. Now BF2142 will not work. I keep getting lost connection to server now after the install of FS. unistalled FS and reinstalled BF2142 and I'm good.

Seems like a cool mod if you guys could ever get it right,good luck.

I remember now why I quit playing this mod.

Running Vista here and after 3 downloads I finally got it to install. I get it installed and now when I go to join a game it loads up fine but when I hit deploy the graphics freeze. I can move my mouse around and here when the curser floats above items,I hear the clicks,but it stays on the picture of whatever picture of the level I was loading.

Everything is up to date,searched the forums,and I'll give this thread a couple days before I uninstall again. I thought after a big update somethings would have been fixed but I guess not.
