Yeah, Brand is a frigg'n prodigy. His work is just... WOW. I'm not a big fan of re-envisioning Star Wars craft and tech, but his work is so stunning I was sold when I first saw it. lol

I've been anxiously (see: rabidly) following the Star Wars: Fate of the Galaxy mod's progress for years now, and I'm starting to wonder if it's ever going to see a release date.

That re-envisioned T-wing is actually quite nice, but I think I still prefer the original design. It's very well done, though.

Due to Angel's T-Wing love thought I'd post this redesign of the T-Wing by the artists working on Tides of War the Freelancer Star Wars mod. I really like the bold work they've done here on that ship, makes it look less like an X-Wing wannabe and gives it a quite distinctive look, heck it actually looks interesting now.

That E-Wing is beautiful. Probably the extent of my knowledge on the ship comes from the Ship guide and Galactic Conquest. (gasp!) As for the K-Wing, I think the ship looks decent, (probably just because I am a ridiculous fan of turbines ) and the role of a dedicated bomber just seems neat to me, not to mention those nifty ball turrets. Seeing a redesign of that would be a dream come true for me.

I see the similarities, but the original EU E-Wing design was around long before the new version of BSG, first appeared in the Dark Empire comic in the early 90's if I'm not mistaken.

And if we go way back we all know the Viper was a rip-off of the X-Wing design back in the 70's.

Either way I love both the E-Wing and Viper designs, but think that the E-Wing redesign is quite distinctively different to the Viper, though the paint job is similar.

T-wings are beautiful dart shaped fighters. No fancy extending flanges or bells or whistles, just a sharp fuselage, nose mounted guns and forward thrust.
Superior field of view to the X wing ( i always flew with cockpits on, I was a purist) and nose guns land your shots where you need them (usualy I linked these to snipe ties) I always though they were a very pretty ship, and while not overtly Rebel alligned did not look out of place with the reb ships, like headhunters tend to do.

K-wing is awful.

Not our era unfortunately, perhaps have it as a brand new prototype in our latest map in the SW chronology, just before it switches eras.

No, was my bad, edited it, meant K-Wing but originally posted 'T' by mistake.

Though that looks a little poo too to be fair.

One of my favourite EU starfighter designs has to be the E-Wing, and this chap Brand X has done a cracking job of redesigning it to be slicker and sleaker looking than ever, check out these screenies. I dare say he could even make that terrible K-Wing that some of you love so much look sexy.

And an original canon-ish model for comparison.
