There is an option to reduce the recorded portion of the screen to something much smaller for desktop viewing, however I can't figure out how to do it ingame.  Watching players don't need to see crap like my HUD (they won't be able to read it anyway), so if I can get it cut the edges of the screen off, that allows me to put out higher quality video.

Here's something that might be interesting. Don't know if it's live or anything, but oh well.

I'm thinking ping to livestream server might be a problem for our European players.

My broadcast did stop because of low bandwidth tho.  I will have to look into this.

If you broadcast tomorrow I will definitely use your video grainy or not.
for all we know things will be the opposite tomorrow anyway.  Hope you'll all give it a try.

I'm going to run a test on the BI Server at 2300GMT (1800EST) tomorrow (Friday) to see how well this works.  Feel free to join.

As mentioned in the Updates thread, I'm going to be trying this out and I need some help, specifically other players willing to contribute a Video Stream for the broadcast.

Pros:
- Doesn't affect performance too much (Probably similar to x-fire)
- Entire Broadcast can be recorded and played back on the channel
- Multiple player views
- Youtube Videos can be added easily
- Automated playing of content when not in use

Cons:
- Free version's quality not that great,  but better than nothing
- Ads can get annoying sometimes
- Need to make an account at livestream.com
- There is a limit to the amount of content stored on the server

First of all, you will need to create an account with livestream.com here:

Next, download and install Procaster which will upload your stream to the network:
http://www.livestream.com/platform/procaster

Finally, PM me your Livestream username so I can add you to the production team.

* Edit: The in-game Procaster window tends to get in the way of some menus. You can minimize it by pressing  CTRL+ALT+N
