Indeed, well once we have the server change over covered at our end we'll release a new public version  of the launcher if necessary. 1.5 installs straight off the installer, the update to 1.55 might require a successful connection to the server though. Can't recall for sure off the top of my head.

1.55 is a launcher update. A new public launcher shouldn't be required, as it fetches the download mirrors from fsmod.com. Try installing 1.5 and running the launcher to update to 1.55, it should in theory work.
