right. huds are used in aircraft, displayin information a pilot would normally need to look down for. an hdu is simply a helmet mounted screen.

you could give it to scouts as a long range infantry detection system, or when the commander calls for a satellite scan (or whatever you'll call it if you keep it ingame) it could show his team all the infantry within a 10-20yd vesinity of their position maybe but only for a certain amount of time

That would be really neat! The scan ability always seemed a bit misguided. What if it could make infantry show up on special ops hdus at farther distance than normal? Or maybe the normal special ops hdus could only see viechles, and this would ammend that to include infantry. It could last like 45 seconds or something. Something to think about...
