The thing is, in the BF2 engine, water levels don't change. If there's a hill, the snow won't be on it, unles you raise the 'snow' level. But this would make areas not on a hill so deep in show you can't see anything.

not that true
although u can only have one water lvl, u can add additional layers of water (example of this is fushe pass)
only thing u cant do is make the water on a slope

Or it would take about a year to develop.

While I very much like the idea, and it would certainly add quite a bit to the game, I feel that it simply will not be integratable with the Battlefield 2 engine.

if you changed the animation from swimming in water, to waddling in snow, wouldn't that also make it so that you're waddling in water??
