Ok, is it not true that when a vehicle TOUCHES a drip of water in bf, it begins to explode? If an AT-ST or AT-AT walks over one of these things... BOOM!  I don't know if they have patched that or anything, but it just wouldn't work with having vehicles ect.

BF1942, ANY water will destroy a vehicle. BF2, only deep watch will destroy a vehicle.

I think there was a mod for BF1942 where some tanks could drive into the water smile

EoD I think

So it is possible smile

Re: Snow

We got a little off topic here...First off though vehicles can go through water.

But can water even be used as a substitute? It can only be used if the ground is completely flat.

Re: Snow

Unless you isolate the 'sinking' effect of the snow into isolated areas, snow banks. Basically I mean tiny little 'ponds' of this quasi snow/water. So basically theres normal 'snowy' ground in most places. But in many places, flat places, there are the snow banks of different depth. In the ones in areas veichles will most likely be moving they can be shallow so the viechle's won't have any problems. In other areas the snow banks might be deeper, forcing infantry that take a wrong step into a deep bank to do that 'swim/hopple' thing I mentioned before to get out, leaving them vunnerable to attack. ANd if the map makers place these snow banks in the right areas, it will affect gameplay alot, giving the rebels advantages in areas like the trenches, where they might be able to fire down into the snow hopplin stormies, and advantages to the imps in others.

Re: Snow

lol great idea but i think some of the ponds should be placed on the edge of the map.

Re: Snow

I think the snow idea wont work ^^

you can make it in BF2 and BF1942 so things wont get damaged in water.

Re: Snow

I'd have no doubt it would work. The only possible thing I can think of that might not work would be the 'hobble/swim' thingy that would happen when an infantry man gets in too deep. Besides that, its just different looking water.

Re: Snow

well the snow is quite compact, if u saw luke struggle out of the cave in the snow, the higher the weight, the deeper u go down in the snow I think
