Wow. I've never been in a 128. Been in some 64s a couple times, and they work great. Wonder why I don't play in them more...

128 was disabled before the game was relased due to lag, thats probably why you have never played it. I belive it can be turned back on. The question is would we have enough players with supercomputers? On a side note the max AI players is 255, so it may be possible to have a server up to that (imagine 125.5 players per team yikes), however 128 was the largest sized devleoped (and then scratched) by EA.

i dont think bf2142 will have that many, maybe 96 but not 128.

tbh as long as you have the recommended spec its mainly serverside thats the problem... the cost of a server that would be able to provide the speed and data rate is very expensive. its been tried on many games.
