That's what I asked when they first showed the X-Wing a while back. The developers said that the canapy would close when you entre. I'm not sure if this changed because they're switching to BF: 2142 or not.

The canopy should be functional as well as the bunker door, at least that's what I understood from it smile

Lol I think small things like that adds to the atmosphere. It really gives youa 'ho boy here we go...' feeling when the thing closes down around ya.

There should be a little sound effect when it closes, like a little sealing sound or hissing.
