Although this is a poll thread, I just want to say I love making the shield gen a commander ability.

So far we could do

Shield Generator
Supply Drop (from shuttle)
Bombing Run

Perhaps making the e-Web or a heavy artillary cannon a requestable resource for Squad Leaders would be great as well.

Maybe taking arty completly away or at least making it rare but devastating might force the commander to focus more on tactics. I really like the idea of turning the commander into a gadget delivery service.
Small gun towers that get dropped by pods, shield generators and maybe vehicles that would land on the surface but couldn't be used to fly away but as a bunkerlike supply depot with guns on most of its sides.
In other words more interactive and less offensive drops.

I would love to see commander deployable things, that had to ACTUALLY BE DEPLOYED. As in an engineer has to "fix" it and it would turn into its real form... like a gun turret, or for generators, just to turn it on. Cause seriously, you cant drop a full functional turret on the ground, it would crumble. Just an idea, still off topic sorry.

Good idea, have commander drop supplies that can be built into turrets, generators, or other stuff by engineer.

I LOVE THAT IDEA!! That's almost like what Battlefront did though; but I think having the commander drop small packages that can be 'built' would be much better than just have a class that builds it like Battlefront.

Great idea a commander drops a supply box and an engineer turns it into something else. Defending an engineer while he turns a bottleneck for both sides into a deathtrap for the opposing team might be a great gameplay element.

I actually like the the idea of no arty too.... *maybe* there could be arty as some kind of bonus when youve already as good as won, and you use it to just finish someone off. I wonder if there has ever been any arty in the movies...
