Re: Shields

Too bad BF:2 doesn't have an auto aim function like Halo 2.  Or does it?  If the BF:2 engine has an autoaim function for noobies, do you think that is would be possible to increase the amount that the auto-aim function aims for you if you were in a specific weapons system, like an ATAT?

Re: Shields

Re: Shields

Well what are we gonna do about making those guns track the snowspeeders, there must be something we could exploit.

Re: Shields

They could always go the GC route with ties I guess...
Also, perhaps its good that the air speeders will have a advantage over the imp ATATs, since in the movie it was the troops moving in through the tunnels and the ATSTs that really brought them victory.

Re: Shields

Well if they have too much of an advantage it'll be too easy to defend the Shield Generator.  Plus, having AT-AT guns tracking speeders is the height of uber.

Re: Shields

I don't think that the rebels will have any advantages.  The ATAT armor is very thick, they are incredibly difficult to stop, so the rebels will have a tough time defending that shield generator.  And after the shield goes down, the orbital bombardment (artillery) starts raining down, and then its a battle for the inside of echo base (it would be suicide to try to maintain fixed uncovered positions under artillery fire).  Once the battle moves to the base, I think it will be pretty evenly matched.  The rebels might have a small advantage because they are able to spawn inside the base, but the imps will most likely be able to spawn inside the ATATs, so they will be close as well.  Ah, it will be a great day when we are able to play hoth. smile

Re: Shields

Yeah, I think we can forget the auto aim feature. Too bad though, it was a good idea. And ArchAngel is right, the AT-ATs are just for support really.
