If I think about it 15 must (or better could) be something around the manouverability of a B-25 from BF1942 and if we try to remember we know how long it took to fly a turn with that medium bomber.

To that bomber thing:
You're right that they were not designed as bombers but where often used as such ones because Y-Wing and B-Wing were the only fighters of the rebels that had ion cannons in their basic version and were (because of their capacity of warheads) very effective against capital ships or space bases.

I personally had always enjoyed flying the TIE Defender over anything else. (plus it looks freakn awesome too smile) I would LOVE to see the devs add this awesome fighter to the list of ships to fly!

What about the Z-95 headhunter or the assault gunboat?

The Assault Gunboat, Tie Advanced/Avenger and Tie Defender only appeared in the X-Wing series, so I doubt they'll be included here. Plus, they'll unbalance the ship lsit ocmeltely, as the Rebels dont have anything to match.

Star destroyers contained 72 TIEs, but since we only have 32 a team we only need about 12 of each type. The bot tie thing I have experienced before, in Freeworlds (a SW mod for the game Freelancer). Essentially, you have 2 other ties linked to yours. In Freeworlds, they are turrets attached to your ship (except they are 5m away either side) and can be destroyed. I dont think that would work in BF2142.

Okay, Thanks for the info smile,  why can the turrets not be a TIE?, The works well on Battlefield 2142 and some work on the kode the can get it to work ^^; or do i flying now again?
