Lovely family lol

Not that much of a shock.  The United States has been helping to create, prop up, and destroy foreign governments and insurgents throughout its existance.

ArcAngel I think its all a big conspiracy, the democrats and the republicans are all actually on teh same  team and they are trying to take over the world!

And wheres the evidence they do business with the Bin Ladens?

See above.

I would like to say for those who lived outside the United States when 9/11 happened, you cannot possibly know the state the country was in on that day.  I was living on the US East Coast at the time, and it was Pearl Harbour.  Not thousands of miles away, but in our backyard.

Just remember that when you're 'debating'.

Secondly, I don't want to offer any conspiracy theories on 9/11 because I do not believe that the government engineered it, beyond indirectly causing it by proping up the Taliban to fight the communists decades ago.  The only thing as scary as what happened on 9/11, for me, is the slow swing the US' political climate has taken towards right-wing dominance over the last decade.  You should not be ashamed to be a Democrat in that country, and looking in from the outside now (live in Canada now), I can see how that would happen.

May not be a shock to you ...but to other people , thats a 'conspiracy theory' . It just seems to me that many of the people who claim that the US Government couldnt/wouldnt engineer 9/11 only do so out of disbelief or faith... hardly ever on actual evidence. They just cant believe that the government would do such a thing. I call it denial.

Your second point is irrelevant really. Im not being callice ... it just is irrelevant. Its not like anyone is happy it happened or is speaking ill of the victims. It was a very very sad day.

I fail to see the irrelavince. In essense, his stance mirrors mine. I only differ in saying that theway our goverment brought it on ourselves was by supporting israel.

Re: Habeus Corpus - rip

Were discussing politics ....

The following quote has nothing to do with what we are talking about...therefore irrelavent.

" I would like to say for those who lived outside the United States when 9/11 happened, you cannot possibly know the state the country was in on that day.  I was living on the US East Coast at the time, and it was Pearl Harbour.  Not thousands of miles away, but in our backyard.

Maybe you are insinuating that because I dont come from the US and wasnt in New York at the time of the attack my opinions and facts dont count (which is complete BS , to be frank)

The only way the above quote could be relevant to the topic/s was if myself or others (not from the US) were discussing how US citizens were reacting or feeling on that day.

eg. some1's family memeber has just died of a heart attack or cancer or something ...and another person ,who has been lucky enough to not have had such a terrible loss , comes up to the grieving person and says " I know how you feel" .....

Understand?

Re: Habeus Corpus - rip

Yes, we can imagine what it was like. I was actually in the caribbean during 9/11 with a lot of americans (more canadians, but still quite a few americans). I don't live all that far from london, and was quite heavily effected by the disruption caused by the london bombings. Not to mention having a spanish friend who's aunt was badly injured in the madrid bombings. Terrorism has certainly effected me, and quite frankly, it is NO excuse for having our rights taken away in the name of security.

Or the rights of others. Does the Constitution even mean anything to you people anymore? It's something I wish my country had, an entrenched bill of rights; a set process, time and qualification for offices of gov't, and yet you are so willing to let it go in the name of fighting terrorism. In my eyes, that means the terrorists have basically won.
