Last I checked the Patriot and Military Commisions Act, whered PASSED. By congress.

As for Bandu, I think we've reached the fundamental difference between our positions. I firmly believe we are at war. Total War. Where as you just said this isn't a proper war.

Now If I didn't this was a proper war, then I'd be just as paranoid about whats happening as you. If I didn't think this was a real war, then laws being passed like this would highly alarm me. So I don't blame you at all for what you've been saying.
But I have seen enough to support Bush's claim this is a REAL, REAL war. Far more people died in 9/11 than Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was a military target. The WTC certaintly wasn't. Just because these people do not have their own state (YET), it dosn't mean their capabilities aren't deadly, as we've seen on 9/11, and as you've seen on 7/7. The only thing that can reduce their ability to kill us is to kill them. Everyday our troops are fighting, killing, and falling to terrorists, in Iraq and Afganistan. Yours and Mine. Is your goverment attempting some sort of takeover too?

The entire country understood we where at war on 9/11. Somehow they've forgotten. I'm not some right winger, who calls anyone who wants out of iraq a traitor. As I keep saying I'm not sure what we should do with Iraq. We invaded to keep wmds we ALL thought where there (and WHERE THERE amd WHERE USED)from falling into terrorists hands to stop a chem/bio 9/11. Now what, I don't know, I'll leave that to the generals.

But the original moves, the invasion of Iraq, the invasion of afghanistan where made for our protection.

Even the enemy deserves the right to a public court hearing. Not all "Enemy Combatants" are guilty!!!! Have you not learnt anything from Gitmo????

Um. No they don't. A public court hearing?! They kill our troops and we're supposed to reward them with a trial? What are you supposed to ask him? Why did you kill Private so and so? And what am I supposed to learn from Gitmo? I haven't any qualms with the place.

1st off. Im not paranoid. I guess im just less doctinated or something. I dont automatically herald governments. I certainly dont have blind faith in them . You said earlier "just let the future happen".   Its apathy like that , that enables you to support a FAKE WAR. This is the difference between our positions.

Your stance is that you should give up your constitutional rights during this 'war'. Dickhead Cheyney has said that this war could last a century (yes, 100 years) . It is such complete bollox, really i cant believe how people can believe that this is a war. Its a wild goose chase. Its a front for taking over 3/4 of the worlds natural energy supplies and drugs and ensuring the US remains the 1st and only superpower. Nothing to do with terrorism.

Iraq had NOTHING to do with terrorism . Bush said that Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11....and if you think that we really believed that Iraq had WMD's ..who are you trying to fool? yourself?  They didnt have any after the Gulf War.

Iraq doesnt have terrorists. The only terrorists are people like those 2 SAS commandos. Its a secular civil war! as a result of our invasion. A civil war that we are encouraging ,thro these false flag attacks...stirring the pot if you like. The reason? .. to enable us to stay there for another 10 years and setup permanant military bases as spring boards and control and all the trillions of dollars that comes with war.


You believe that the term "Enemy Combatant" means a POW? no, it means they are suspected of being linked to terrorist organisations either directly or indirectly. This is why its sooo dodgy.

No one as yet , in Gitmo , has been charged with anything. Poeple have been locked up and tortured to get them to say they are guilty. Like I said , no-one has been charged in all these years. ... probably because, like the 4 English guys you tortured, most of them are Innocent. These new bills make all this Legal ... going back to the date 9/11. Basically your President has passed a bill that excuses himself for War Crimes! ..and allows him to do it to ANYONE he chooses.

Actually Bandu, there were weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq, they were also used in the Gulf War of the nineties. Also, you are British, so why do you even care about our government? You people are so paranoid that you make Hitler look sane. Seriously, we care more than you as it is our country. Surely we care about the government, we also are able see the effects of our government better than you, as they directly affect us.

I'm sorry, but you are one of these people every country has Zulu, the kind who can't see beyond their own little world, inside their own little part of their country. America effects britain a hell of a lot. We're there with you, along side you.

As far as the effects of your government, we can see them just as clearly, if not more so. Our media is not so inclined to play things down that happen in the US, and quite frankly, THERE WERE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION LEFT IN IRAQ. We both went to war on a lie. It was obvious even before we went too, there probably haven't been any there for almost 15 years.

And Arc, have you ever heard of the Geneva Conventions? Among other things, the principle that prisoners of war should not be tried unless they commit war crimes, and if they did, should be tried by an international court. You say it is a war, your government make it out to be a war, and yet, you refuse to grant your prisoners of war their rights? Does it really matter if they are terrorists, or just people defending against what they see as an invading power? Not really.

And it doesnt matter if Congress passed the acts, if they breach the Constitution according to the SCOTUS, they are invalid.

Zulu , what planet are you from? There were NO WMD found in Iraq! OMG. Have you been living under a rock?  Even your 'glorious' President has said so.

Why would you say there were WMD found in Iraq!?!?  My hamsters....


PS. What sickens me is that we , the people, have been lied to and 500,000 Iraqis(some reports say 400k and some 600k ...so il take the average amount)  and thousands of UK/US soldiers have died because of it.
