Separately destructible engines, weapons etc. Have already been confirmed ingame, so you will most likely see some fun stuff with the cap ships too. Here´s a clip from a coding test I made a while back with a destructible system I made for the wings.
but would you be able to redestroy the wepons if somone repaired them [like in bf2142] where somone could camp out in an AA gun and waste the titan guns racking up on points while the poor commander has to keep repairing them. or will it be after they are destroyed 1 time they cant be repaired???
I actually think there's a lucasarts video game though where you have to destroy the two "shield generators" on the top of a star destroyer then a third one underneath before you can make a run at the Star Destroyer's bridge. It was one of those "pulled by the nose, just press to shoot" ones. I almost want to say either Rebel Assault or Rebel Assault 2.
In all of the X-Wing games you could shoot three proton torpedoes into each of the towers on top of the bridge to quickly destroy them and to take down an SD's shields fast. After that it was always super easy to just use ion cannons (if you had a B-Wing or Y-Wing) to disable the thing (so it couldn't shoot turbolasers at you anymore) and then just strafe it to death. Kinda sucks if you need your torps for something else, but a surefire method of taking out an SD without incurring too many friendly losses.

That sounds fine, but in a level that I had a ton of trouble with there were TIE Interceptors on my back all the time. Good times, required an even shield distribution even when taking the SD on.
