Will we have real sights in the mod? I mean if I look down the scope of my E-11 Blaster rifle can I still see around me like I would be able to in normal BF2142? Also will there be different fire modes for the different blaster rifles? IE single shot burst and so on?

First time I look up mods for BF2142 and several sites mentioned this conversion. It sounded awesome, so I followed a few links and find this place. First time here, had to search for a little bit to find the FAQ. 

If possible is there a way to make a link to the FAQ on the Homepage? Also there are alot of questions newbies like me would like to know that could be included in the FAQ. Stuff most of you already know or take for granted, but some one like me who just walks in for the first time is wondering. 

Ill post some questions in a little bit.

What are some of the features of the conversion?

I have never used a mod before, will it have an auto-install?

Will installing this conversion modify my original game, thus making it impossible to play on normal online servers?.


Do you have to pay for this conversion?

How will I be able to play with others online with this conversion? Will the normal BF 2142 servers allow me to play this online with others?

Will there be server and client downloads for those who wish to host their own Firststrike server?


Will installing and using this conversion break any rules set forth by EA risking our accounts to being banned?


When will the download be available? Will there be updates?

The mod will most likely come with an installer. If not, its still an easy task to install it.

No, it wont affect the original game. It will become available as a separate game launched through a shortcut and/or from within the game.

Currently we are in the progress of setting up a helpdesk. Some members can be indentified by the their title, but mostly testers and Dev's will help out.

We will be answering questions in regards to gameplay and technical difficulties. This section will be revealed upon release to best inform you of all your questions.

When your question is answered it will remain there for a short period and then will be removed and added to the FAQ.

I will answer the question to the above question, but all other question will have to wait untill release.

The First Strike mod will have a installer. This will install it in a MOD folder and will not modify the original content. A short cut will be placed on your desktop which will switch BF2142 to First Strike mode. If you want to play regular BF2142 you just click the BF2142 shortcut.
