Perhaps a more 2-dimensional version of the map, though?  Similar to GC's Death Star map?

DS Trench run is a definate , if thats what you mean.

The team will do an ace job with a DS I trench run map, and I will be doing third party maps for the approach to the Death Star and also taking out specific turbolaser towers like that mission in X-Wing/the first half of the movie battle before the trench runs.

I've also entertained the idea of doing the DSII flight to the core of the station, with the actual core chamber being the skybox of the map and the tunnels just being custom models.  Map would end when the core itself is torpedoed after a harrowing flight through the tunnels.

Yeah, a trench run map similar to what was in X-Wing would be nice (tho without all the weird debris and random obstacles in the trench, of course, thank you)

Wasn't the 'Death Star' really the ground with custom textures in GC?
