Oh yeah...totally forgot about that. I guess that's enough work for you guys as it is. Well maybe for future releases you could add different weather effects to the old maps so that they would be a bit more fresh.

Heh, sorry Biggs. No IRC for me. That thing is evil...everyone can find out everything about you...

Re: Weather effects in mp?

Quoted from the Quakenet forums FAQ:

""One security issue that QuakeNet has worked to solve is the revealing of your IP address. Traditionally your hostname would be that of the computer from which you are connecting. QuakeNet have, however, introduced a new user mode to hide your IP (with a .users.quakenet.org host name).
All you need to do to hide your IP is to auth with Q, and then set user mode +x: /MSG Q@CServe.quakenet.org AUTH <username> <password>, and then /MODE <your nickname> +x.
We highly recommend that you use this facility to hide your real IP, and for maximum security you should auth with Q and set this mode before joining ANY channels. ""

In other words your perform would look like this:

/msg Q@cserve.quakenet.org auth BigBadChewyUsername ChewyPassword
/mode BigBadChewyUsername +x
/join #first-strike

After that you should be perfectly safe on IRC

gunner1: ya i cant see anything back here
Snowspeeder pilot 1: no kidding oh i think ive spotted somthing get ready with that tow*smashes into the head of an AT-AT
AT-AT pilot: those rebels gotta stop drinking in thier speeders...
AT-AT co-pilot: ya its a real shame *chugs back some mando ale*
