Is it possible to have a damaged state, where the ship won't fly, but won't explode? So you can crash land but not be able to take off again. Then you could get out, repair your ship, and fly off.

IN 1942 the planes would light on fire just before exploding, and the engines stopped working. But a lot of stuff is different in 2/2142 that you would have thought was included from 1942.

Yeah, I loved it when I saw that happen. It's a shame that BF2/2142 doesn't have taht effect. Then again, it looks alot better when a plane hits the ground in Battlefield 2 (And probably 2142, havn't seen it yet) than it did in 1942.
