Re: Hoth Insertion

You can go up and down the rope in SF. But i'm sure the Imps must have had a better way of getting in and out of their own vehicle, its just stupid to lock themselves inside and have to cut a hole in the floor and rope out. Well then again they did lose the war to a bunch of rebels.....

Re: Hoth Insertion

They actually used bungeee ropes and doors.

SO much smarter isn't it?

Re: Hoth Insertion

they used ropes to drop down. thing is we would have to code that ourselfs.

i think ropes is the more viable option.. the MF(millenium fulcon will be in hoth as a static mesh, i do like th idea of being ablt to use its blasters.. not sure if we could squeeze that in or not..

Re: Hoth Insertion

oh please do squeeze it in, that would be amazing.  All you have to do is put the static mesh in, then put a stationary weapon on the bottom or the top of the ship, and code the stationary weapon so that the gunner's animation is sitting in the cockpit or in the turrets.  I would love to see it in-game.

As for the rope thing, can't you make the ropes invisible so it looks like the troops are being deployed using a tractor beam or something (of course you would have to get rid of the climbing animation for that "rope").

Re: Hoth Insertion

But they weren't deployed by tractor beams.  They strapped into harnesses and then were wither lowered or bungee jumped to the ground.

Re: Hoth Insertion

were they? I wasn't privy to that knowledge.  I guess whatever's the most accurate to the lore aspect would be the best way.
