Plus that gives you choices to make, sit at the door and be able to fire your weapons, or sit farther inside where you would be safer. As for the speederbike carrying, I'm not sure if that would work well, unless you were going to make them static (attached to the ATAT) just for looks. Plus, I doubt that Imperial speeder bikes would have functioned well on Hoth.
they are not attached to the AT-AT, but they are inside a compartment of the AT-At, a room especially for speederbikes Greetz Dragunov

The Star Wars Incredible Cross-Sections book portrays Speeder Bikes on Hoth. Also, AT-AT's carry a number of Speeder Bikes, so I'd find it odd if there weren't Speeder Bikes on Hoth.

Re: Hoth Insertion
they are fast transport between places and there is room for two persons on a speederbike But the speederbike has to hover, so no invisible wheels or something it has to hover, so no collision damage under the vehicle Greetz Dragunov

Re: Hoth Insertion
I ment that they would be a part of the ATAT model itself, so they wouldn't move around strangely. As for speeder bikes being on Hoth, there were non in the movies, but I guess it couldn't hurt. But the thing is, I can just see some jerks grabbing the bikes and just rushing into echo, bypassing the trenches cause they're too fast to shoot. It would be cool, if they were on the ATATs, if they couldn't be taken out of the ATAT unless the pilot opens a door for them. People would have to ask the pilot to release his speeder bikes.

Re: Hoth Insertion
Well you have a point there, rushing the base. BUT, that was their purpose: quick movement. The way to solve this is to limit the amount on there. Mabye have two in the Sentinels and three in each AT-AT? Code it so that they can't respawn untill one is destroyed, not based on how many players there are.

Re: Hoth Insertion
That sounds good, but thats a lot of speeder bikes on Hoth, I was thinking more like 1-2 in each ATAT. I know they supposedly carried more than that, but for gameplay I think that less would be better. Plus, as long as the AA missiles track the speeder bikes, I think the rebels would have a good defense against them.

Re: Hoth Insertion
Yeah, 2 sound better and more fair than 3. They could also counter the quick speed with low HP.
