It's not too complicated at all to have to pick up a kit before jumping into a fighter or tank. And it's certainly better than nerfing the other weapons in the game just to solve a couple of undesirable features (fighters used as transports, for example).

Nothing. Pilot/tanker kits aren't meant to address that in the first place. They're meant to stop regular soldiers from using non-transport vehicles as their own personal little one-man shuttles; to prevent people from having their tank critically damaged just to exit it and kill the tank hunter; and for realism and immersion's sake (OK, so even a dumb Ewok can drive an AT-ST, but you still never saw stormies flying TIE Fighters or regular rebel troops manning snow speeders).

Either way, though, I maintain it'd be better yet to have you morph into a pilot/tanker class upon entering the vehicle, and not switch back from it when you leave it.

Well what I was trying to say is, if all the kits are picked up and people are using the vehicles, there will already be 2 people guaranteed to get in the next 1 or 2. So why would you stick around and watch them ? Also that kit thing PR has its pretty neat, have you guys ever looked into that?
