yeah, but Rogue Squadron (while awesome) had two problems in my mind:
it was more arcade than flight sim, so cockpit view actually hindered more than helped and it was all land maps (mind you they fixed that in the sequels, but the sequels sucked)
awesome nostalgia feeling to that x-wing pic. I played that with my microsoft force feedback joy (The very first I think) on my old 75 mhz pc.. OLD SCHOOL
Anyways, I'd like to see a targeting computer on the HUD that estimates where you'd have to shoot to hit your target (any hostile) and displays that point as a crosshair like thing on your HUD. That means if you fire while your crosshair is on that, you land a hit. (This is easy to script I've seen it in many games and mods) Also, on a side note I'd like to see more than one crosshair on the ships with "complicated" gun positions (X-Wing, B-Wing etc.) so we can focus one single gun on our target and also stop the annoying crossing beams.
I would love to see both of these suggestions implemented. I always wanted a cool targeting computer back in ol lesbian make out party.
