On your own? wink

The Episode III PS2 game was pretty good though, but I didn't pay for it so my demands weren't that high tongue

Damnit, I recognise that. Which game is it from?

And The Phantom Menace was a great game. Don't knock it.

Rebel Assault II.

"Ru Murleen! I didn't expect to find the likes of you here, completely without support and riding an Imperial speeder bike! How'd you end up on... whatever this planet's called again?"
"After we blew up the Death Star, they sent me to sit here and do very little until you showed up. Now we are to blow up an entire Imperial garrison on our own, and then proceed to eliminate several squadrons of TIE Phantoms afterwards as well as a massive space station and an Executor Class Star Destroyer. Piece of cake.
"Will there be time for sex?"
"This is a US kid's game, laddie. We'll kiss at the end and the whole crowd of hardened veterans will go 'whoo' and applaud like a bunch of 12-year olds since they've obviously never seen anything like it before, but no, no sex."
"Awww..."
"Oh, and now you've gotta keep me safe from the mynocks. You know, the ones that live in vacuums and feed off of electricity. They're for some reason down here, feeding on me."
"Then... how did you survive until I showed up?"
"Obviously, they left me alone until then."
"Why?"
"Damned if I know."

I could go on and on. The worst thing is that when I played it, I liked both Phantom Menace and both the Rebel Assault games. How things change...

Edit: Come to think of it, RAII featured an hilarious parody mode where voice files were turned off and replaced by some pretty nifty subtitles. Added some nice replayability value big_smile .

Everyone seems to be forgetting Republic Commando, which was a pretty awesome game in my opinion. I hear rumors bubbling out of the gaming industry that a sequel is in the works, and if this is true I'm quite happy to hear it.

lol:lol::lol:

Rebel Assault II, now there are some memories. It was okay for the time. Cheesy as hell, but so were all the games of the time that jumped on the gimmick bandwagon of using live actors in their games, but I have to admit I really loved that game. And even managed to pick up a PS1 version of the game a few years ago and went through it all again. Ahhhh, happy retro memories.

Correct, RC is awesome (and so are the books, surprisingly)

Re: You know what the saddest part is?....................

Okay, who disagrees with this basic assessment?

Super Star Wars, Super Empire, X-Wing, Super ROTJ, TIE Fighter, Dark Forces, Shadows of the Empire, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Mysteries of the Sith, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter (for the most part), Rogue Squadron, X-Wing Alliance, Racer (admit it, it was fun), Jedi Power Battles, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (on a good day), Battlefront (c'mon, it was fun, and the bestselling SW game for a reason), Republic Commando, Empire at War, Lego Star Wars II.
All great (or at least fun) games. And the majority of those were made before the end of the nineties. (I know a lot of people here hate EaW, maybe for accuracy reasons, but in my opinion it's the best Star Wars RTS).

Rebel Assault II, Force Commander, Clone Campaigns, Rogue Squadron II, Rogue Squadron III, KOTOR2, Battlefront II.
Games that could've been a lot better if a bit more effort had been put into them.

Rebel Assault, Masters of Teras Kasi, Rebellion, The Phantom Menace, Demolition, Battle for Naboo, Starfighter, Super Bombad Racing, Galactic Battlegrounds, Obi-Wan, Bounty Hunter, The Clone Wars, Jedi Starfighter, Racer Revenge, The New Droid Army, Galaxies (and don't give me that "it started out fine", because if it was a good game it would've stayed "fine), Revenge of the Sith (fun to play - for about four hours, then you've beaten it completely and there's extremely little replay value), Lethal Alliance.
All Horrible And Unfun Games. And almost all made in the last 6 years.

I mean, I know we like to talk about how much S1BF1 and S1BF2 suck -- but they didn't all that much -- because they were fun and the concept was good - the execution was just bad. That's why games like FS get made -- because it's too good an idea to go to waste, and someone believes it can be done right. Meanwhile, games like "Super Bombad Racing" and "Lethal Alliance" were bad ideas at every level of conception.

(course, those are just LA's SW games I'm talking about. Everyone knows Monkey Island pwns)
