Silly Bandu, you care far too much about US politics for a brit.

Well, I'd rather care too much, than too little. Plus, if I thought that countries such as Norway , Argentina or Australia had as big an impact on the world as the USA then i'd be doin the same for those countries.
Whatever happens in the USA happens in the UK (and vice versa) especially since the Bank of England owns the Federal Reserve.

As for Ron Paul, the reason i urge people to help him become the President is because he is the only one that would take on the Federal Reserve. In fact I'd be very suprised if he didnt instruct Congress to dissolve the Fed.....tho that would probably result in his assassination sad

If you believe in the US Constitution then Ron Paul is the only choice

PS. I also care what happens to my yank brothers wink ...and not just when its in 'fashion' ..ie. after a natural disaster or terrorist attack.

What goes on in a country after an attack is far more important, imo.

As for Hillary Clinton .. where do I start?

Manipulative bitch seems ept.

Anyone who changes their accent to win votes is an utter disgrace

see : http://pajamasmedia.com/2007/03/kentuck … idates.php

I'd cringe if it werent so sad.

Something is wrong when the presidency is thrown around between 2 families.... Bush snr, B Clinton, Bush jnr ... H Clinton? WTF!?

If she is actually elected, well I hope she has a good vice president because she will definitely get assinated. Probably by the secret servicemen. haha.

Ignorance of the role of the President is your first problem. He cannot 'instruct' the Congress to do anything. At the end of the day he can pressure as much as he likes, but the Congress can just turn round and say "No chance in hell".

I do however agree with your last line.

Which is why I personally think Rudy or Obama would make the best choice for the next President. They are both high profile enough to realistically have a chance, and they both come from the centre of their respective parties which is really needed to try and reduce the polarization present at the moment, and they both are reasonably unusual ethnicities for US politicians.

Re: The next President of the United States of America

Basically, if the guy seems like he will change things for the better, he will never become President. Democracy has become just another name for dictatorship. Who is in charge of counting the votes? How does a civilian know for sure who got the most votes? You dont. And if you think theres an actual difference between a republican and a democrat, sadly, you are in for a dissapointment.

"Hey, you can be president and make lots and lots of money, on one condition. You must do exactly as we tell you and understand you are nothing but a figurehead. Sound good?"

"Hmm.....let me think...ok!"

"Alright you're in. Try to act suprised after the election results."

"Cool dood lololol"

Ignorance is far from my problem. I think its yours. There are many ways to get around the congress as Bush has shown already. How many bills has he had turned down? The original Millitary Commisions Act was turned down. All they did was put different wrapping paper on it and it passed. Greasing the treads. Greasing the treads.

Rudy? that guy is a despicable excuse for a human being. Ask the heros of 911 what they think of him. He is all about the money and banks. The complete opposite of what you need.

Your whole  last paragraph is a joke tbph. Its people like Ron Paul who need people ,like you, to become "high profile". Why do you think that the man ,who epitomizes "land of the free", isnt high profile? ... (apart from the fact he is a threat to big corporations and banks)  ... well, its because  people get suckered into thinking that they have to vote for the lesser "high profile" candidates just so their vote counts.......which ,as Jay points out, is highly highly unlikely anyway .

While this is somewhat true, keep in mind that congress CAN overturn a presidential Veto. Corruption in the senate, however, is another story.
