Yeah,  maybe 1.5 second wait untill the missile locked on. 1.5 seconds is quite a while for a game where you are always alert you know. Maybe a warning sound comes if someones trying to lock onto you? Is this idea actually possible, devs?

Yep. You got my meaning exactly. Those kind of moments when everything seems to slow down and seconds seem like ages..
Then you hear the signal and launch your torpedoes..

That laser/missile lock warning would be a nice touch too. To give you that extra nudge to lose your calm.

Yeah, but it should be more alarming than the stock lock on warning.

Was also thinking about small shield generators on the way, that have to be destroyed first. But that would go outside the movies.

Yeah, but the hole was RAY shielded, not particle shielded, meaning that a torp would go right through.

there already is a function in-game for missile lock warning, would it be possible to have a "Missile Launched" warning, I think that would be awesome, but it may be difficult to code.

There is.  The alarm changes tone when a missile is actually launched.

Really?  I've never noticed that, that would be an extremely cool feature for FS.  Instead of that d*mn buzzer they could make a warning beep, and it could actually say "Enemy Missile Lock" and switch to a more urgent beep when missiles are actually launched. "Missile Launch Detected" beep beep aroooooo arooooo smile
