Is it possible to have a specific death animation for a player, though?  In other words, a death animation for shockwave damage from a vehicle explosion nearby?

That way, you can just do a specific flailing, dropping to one's knees, Stormtrooper screaming "AHhhhtgyghhhhhhhhhh I'm on fire1!!!!" animation.  Humour +500

It just switches you into ragdoll mode and throws you around?

then just add fire damage......

say a stormtrooper is more resiliant to a nearby explosions fire wave or whatever.

but a rebel soldier aint.... being a cloth wearer..... and Wookies?..... lets not even go there

if you could somehow come up with a code that lets a stormtrooper take damage.. not get ignited... and get thrown some distance via ragdoll.. then stand up that would be cool...


even better if you can get the rebel soldier to take MORE damage get ignited.. and also get thrown some distance via Ragdoll.... only not get back up.

it could be possible because of that thingy what distingwishes (im dyslexic gimme a break) metal from cloth

only problem would be the being flinged about by the ragdoll... and then getting back up from it

AND setting the peramiters for it... you dont want to be like 8 meters from a grenade.. take a little bit of damage but yet fall to the ground because of the ragdoll.

you could also set it so that if a person gets ignited... ragdoll turns on... and they fall to the ground.

it would also be awesome if you could put a twitching animation in while the ragdoll is active.

give the medic a fire extingwisher..... or i suppose you could use a cryoban grenade to extingwish the flames.

That's not really going to work. A player can't get up automatically after dying...

A player can be killed by fire. But I am 90% sure he cannot be lit on fire.

A rebel soldier can take more damage from being near flames but thats not good game balance.

You can give a medic a fire extinguisher, but thats kinda lame because:

A) Probably can't get ragdolls to light on fire
B) The guy would be dead within 5 seconds.
