Re: FirstStrike this evening on GIGA//Games (German TV show)

Amazing Job on the video guys

This is exactly what everybody that has not yet tested the mod but is interested must have been waiting for!

This is gonna be an awesome release and I stand by one of my first forum posts that stated that FIRST STRIKE will be a viable competitor to some of the MAJOR new commercial releases lol

If Star Wars BattleFront2 was the bestselling SW games ever and FS is a gazillion times better than SWBF2 then this is gonna be huge

Having been lucky enough to test FS I have seen the absolutely immense amount of hard work and dedication that has been put in by the DEVS and others  -  truly awesome!

Congrats to everyone for getting the demo video out and for getting the mod built

Roll on Sept when we can let everyone get their grubby little paws on it and cause total destruction tongue

(and to clarify - a gazillion is 10 x bazillions)

Re: FirstStrike this evening on GIGA//Games (German TV show)

Rumor has it that October is being skipped this year and September will have 61 days in it.

FS will then release on September 61, 2007.

j/k tongue

Gallofrees have been pilotable from the very beginning, and the objective is to get them to the hyperspace point.

Looking great. Some observations:

1. That guy really should have done some advance research tongue . That FS takes players into space is fairly well-known, for example.

2. I love that the deployable shields are (apparently) back. Looking forward to set up a fire base with an E-Web deployed by the officer and a shield deployed by the squad's engineer. Will it be possible in FS to set up shields in front of turrets so only the tip of the turrets is in front of the shield, and the rest covered by it, so that you can fire the turret but enemies can't shoot in?

3. Are the Gallofree transports pilotable now? How does the map work? Are you meant to get them to a certain area of the map or just keep them alive?

Whaat the... How did... info..... huh? Have you... played?

oh, those are questions. wink

OK, I confess, FS Release 1 has been on the Web as a leaked torrent the whole time. I know everything [hides disk]
