Oh, snap! We FINALLY have the Y-wing model! Huzzah & rejoice! lol

However, if I may provide a friendly critique, it's a little disproportionate. Mainly in the command pod area and the forward section of the fuselage behind it. Also, the sensor domes at the fore section of the engines are a little too streamlined. ;-)

I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers. It does like pretty darn impressive regardless. *puts thumbs up*

I know it looks weird, but we had a very detailed examination of all evidence and it checks out wink

lol, yeah it still looks great. wink I almost didn't say anything because I didn't want to be mistaken for coming off insulting or offensive, but I just HAD to say something because the Y-wing is one of my absolute FAVORITE fighters in the Saga. Somehow it seems to be the most screwed up and inaccurately portrayed fighter in every previous Star Wars game. lol tongue

For all the close access and support with LFL technical material (especially now), you'd think LA would take the time to make sure everything is up to snuff as far as Star Wars canon goes. lol

Also you can see from these shots with the Falcon to scale with the Neb-B that it couldn't possibly house a half decent sized hanger anyway.

You're right. The docking bay was kept intact for larger craft and I have to agree with you on you're other point. Despite official material referencing the hanger bay in default configuration models, I can't see how in the world it would have been large enough to provide sufficient use. lol

Re: Dev Diary 16 - YoshiBoy, and Front page update

Only question is how does the people in the Falcon get from it to the interior of the frigate? Through that ultra-thin docking pole thingie?

I gather it's just a ladder up there, unless they get a little zero G action in.

Re: Dev Diary 16 - YoshiBoy, and Front page update

According to one of the Thrawn books theres zero gravity in it so you can jump from one ship to another, I think that pole is thick enough, otherwise they might lower a thicker pipe.

Re: Dev Diary 16 - YoshiBoy, and Front page update

The pipe is connected to the hatch around midships on the topside of the Falcon that you see Lando use to rescue Luke a little earlier in the film, it's wide enough. Also you have to remember with perspective that it looks smaller than it is because the cockpit of the Falcon is way closer to you than the docking tube.

Re: Dev Diary 16 - YoshiBoy, and Front page update

To change the subject completely, I appreciate that the Y-Wing will apparently carry proton torpedoes and not bombs. In fact, you can actually see what I believe to be proton torpedo tubes on the underside of the cockpit. Nice attention to detail.
