I think in the demo they looked fine.  Not too fast or too slow.

imo they are too fast.  They aren't truly lasers at all (you wouldn't be able to see individual bolts if they were true speed-of-light weapons), and in the movies they appear to travel a little slower than they currently do in-game.

That depends upon which movies you are watching. The lasers in FS go much slower than they did in the original trilogy (I don't know about special edition but I think its the same.) The lasers in the new trilogy (The junky one) are much slower. The lasers in games made by LA seem to just float along with the wind speed.

Having just watched the trailer again, yes, the lasers move a bit slowly. But I don't really mind. In fact, I like it a bit, even though it's inaccurate. Nice variation from the near-instant hit bullet weapons of most FPS titles.

Laser speed looks fine to me, just like Star Wars lasers from the OT.

I didn't think the lasers looked bad either. It's tough trying to find a good speed. As someone pointed out, if it was a pure-true laser weapon it would travel at near the speed of light.. which isn't fun if you're trying to take cover since you can arc your weapon across the screen and hit everything.

Too slow and it's like the matrix. But don't forget, the weapons aren't really lasers.. they're more like blaster bolts with cool light effects so they'll be a little slower than a real laser.
