Can you start up bf2142 Vanilla, go into custom games, and select firststrike. Does Firststrike load up, or do you get the same error?

Tick off the 'ranked' servers ingame, and refresh all the servers should pop up.

oh something happened when i want to create a (test) map under "local" (multiplayer menu)
i chose escape from hoth and when the loading screen is half completed im on the desktop and its very difficult not to restart the whole pc cause bf2142 occured an error!
after that even the task-manager has problems with closing the program!
joining other multiplayer maps (already established maps) will be my next try...
tongue i don't know what to do if that won't work....

Hi there , I also have the shader bug and have tried your fix but this didnt work unfortunately.But I can play via the custom game route ( wooohooo!!! smile ) .My dilemma now is that I have no in game voices , I have all the sounds in their amazing glory but no character voices.

I got my exe. from the torrent link , so I am now in the process of downloading a different exe. from battlefield basis just to see if this makes any difference at all.

Will let you know what happens.

If you're still seeding the file once downloaded (which you should be for at least the next 3 days after download completes - DON'T BE A LEECHER) then make sure you copy (not CUT) and paste the executable somewhere else and execute from there.
