Re: Reloading

Now that I think about it SWBF2 did have the exact same reloading animations for everything.

*Pull out clip from arse*
*Shove into gun through bottom of gun, causing you to do some cool "knocking up" animation and making that awsome sound*
*cocks gun*

Re: Reloading

Ummm, I know you're going off the movies only, which its true you don't see Han calling for clips.  But in the books and lore, their are things called "powerpacks" and the DL-44 blaster does have a "low-charge" alarm which sends a mild tingle through the palm of the user. (That's something I remember from the Han Solo Trilogy)

Anyways, if you look on wookiepedia you can see some evidence of the need to "reload"

"The Power 5 was slightly less powerful than the DL-44, and consequently smaller, firing more bolts per power cell."
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Power_5_ … ter_pistol

Now, as far as I can tell, in First Strike you've got one powerpack and thats it.

Which is totally fine.  But I just wanted to clarify that the star wars blasters DO in fact reload.  Don't bash battlefront too hard for that.  They did get it right there.

Re: Reloading

Umm guys the reason they didn't put in reloading is because it very time consuming to make custom reload animations for each gun. The guns do have "clips" or "power cells" or whatever you want to call them.

I would like to know if you ever actually saw a firefight in SW movies? Not just where they shot 10 bolts and then it cut to another scene. I mean where there was an actual fire fight. OH WAIT, there are no such scenes.

So all your "facts" or "statements" are pure speculation.

Edit: Damn straight, I didn't see your post before I posted  LORD (only 8 second apart xD)

i am very disappointed to find that you cannot reload. this might sound like im lieing but i was really looking forward to see how the guy reloads some of the new guns. is there any chance you can make them reload in a second release or something?

I agree, but sadly it is a hell of a lot of work to make the reloading animations, so we'll have to do without em.

As for reloading in the movies, most if not all weapons clearly have removable magazines since they're derived from German WWII era weapons, the E11 clearly has a clip.

Re: Reloading

Can we not rule out the possibility of reloading, and reloading animations? Personally I could care less, but if they do reload, I would like to see it. I understand what you mean, but say like Release 5 or 4 or even 3 if its high on your list?

Re: Reloading

Go to FH2 devs and get that one pro animator to join FS team like he was supposed to sad
Then he can do them for us.
If not deal with it. big_smile

Re: Reloading

I don't think the reload is a big deal either way so I say leave it be.  However, I have a question about reloading Tie Bombers.   Is there a way to reload the bombs on a Tie Bomber?  I end up running out and then just have to try to dog fight until dead.  It would be great if I could fly back to a ship or something and reload.  Maybe it's possible, but I have yet to find it.

BTW, I try to say this each post here.  GREAT JOB DEV's!  Lots of fun this is.
