you can mkae ranks for every mod, but you dont get those ranks in any diffend mod.

what i understand from you is that you think the rank you get in 1 mod will stay with you in another mod.
and as far as i could find on the ABR site is that this inst the case. the ranking differs in every mod you play.
how would it look if some1 looks up you stats and sees you killed 500 with a vibroknife in the BF2 Pirates mod

In other words, if you were ranked as a fleet commander in First Strike, but you wanted to play Forgotten Hope (just an example), instead of giving you the bottom rank in FH, the system would compare your FS mod rank with the BF:2 generic ranks, and assign it an equivalency.  Say FS Fleet Commander rank = BF:2 General rank.  Then the system would take your "mod rank" (because I'm sure they would never allow it to be the same as your actual BF:2 rank) and compare it to FH's rank system, so when you play FH, it would give you their equivalent to the BF:2 General rank.  i.e. BF:2 General rank = FH General rank = FS Fleet Commander rank = WAM (Wierd pie Mod) Supreme Chancellor rank.

I'm not sure if that made sense, but I hope you understand what I'm asking.

[Edit]  I forgot to mention this, but I'm sure that medals wouldn't be transferable between mods.  I mean, what medal would be the same in FH as the 'Expert X-Wing Pilot' medal in FS?

as i sad, im not sure, but i dont think so.
and further i dont hope so, cause it wouldnt show a fair assesmet of how good or bad a player you are. lets say you playes FS al the time and get the highest rank. so you go play SF and people see you with the highest rank playing like squeezey pooh.
personally i would rather have sepert ranks for every mod. including BF2 and BF2:SF

yeah, cause some can unlock weapons in SF and use them in BF2, so all those people who didn't buy SF have a disadvantage of course

not realy tongue give your account info to a friend you can trust with SF, and he can unlock the weapons for you.
but bf2sf isnt realy a mod, its what EA calles a addon. mod are moderatoins of the original bf2 and most of the time full mods, beeing total convertions to something else.
bf2sf is almost the same as bf2, cept from some verhicles and nightmaps tongue
