Re: Teamwork issues

Not sure if Hoots goes by the same name on this forum, but his squad had fanstastic teamwork today, mics and all! his and another squad both were full, and a 3rd was started. The enemy team seemed to be using good teamwork as well, but we won every single game.

yeah. i still think that FS would be twice as good with most people with headsets. If people have them i suggest you plug them in cos a coordinated team of players with headsets is far superior to a normal squad

Agreed, 100%.

I just came from a squad where only me and 1 other had headsets, and when a leader's actually saying "fall back to so-and-so, it's being overrun" or "anyone who's not in a cruiser, take a tie bomber and destroy this gallofree", the squad follows.

I also agree that the cause of most lone-wolfer's is they're new to FirstStrike. And they want time to try out weapons, get a feel for things, without the "responsibility" of a squad. That makes no sense of course, but it's how we instinctively think.

All this is easily fixed though... because to make teamwork, it just takes one person to hit Manage Squad and then Invite. For people like to have friends even more, but you have to ask.

Re: Teamwork issues

Thanks for your input Shadowfax. Do you play with a mic all the time? and if so do you go by shadowfax in game too?

Also, theres also the people who bought 2142 exculsively for FS, who then have to get used to the gameplay, feel, and game mechanics of Battlefield.

Glad to. I always try to play with a mic, especially if I'm squad leader. I find it annoying though how many servers don't support VOIP. sad

No, it was already taken... I go by the name of ShadowfaxSTF. Beware! big_smile

I'm assuming TS2 means TeamSpeak? I heard about that... but I've never used TeamSpeak before, what exactly is it? Is it any better than normal in-game VOIP?

There's people who won't spend money buying Battlefront, KOTOR, or any of those... but they'll buy 2142 for a mod?

Cool!

Re: Teamwork issues

I think right now the game is ssplit between lone wolves and teamplayers, I often see groups moving together and hiding behind shields but theres allways the random guy who jumps you down a dark alley or who kicks you in the nuts as you walk round a corner.
