Re: Pilsols

If you do increase rate of fire increase the ammo to equal a rifle too. Dont wanna expend all your ammo in one go.

Nowhere did I mention the officer kit >_>. I've never touched that kit.

How about letting the pistol fire as fast as you can click, 6 shots, then it overheats, and needs to cool down. then it would be like pistols in every other game, except this one cools down instead of reloads?

I just find it frustrating that in the time I fire 1 shot, the enemy has fired 3.

Re: Pilsols

How about no, you guys seem to want to mod to be just like all other games more and more. These pistols are different. They are high powered and better for medium/long range for taking out lone enemies.

You have a rifle for CQB.

Re: Pilsols

I find myself switching to pilsols *cough* pistols, more often than I use my main gun. Extremely accurate and powerful. I tend to take out snipers faster then they can tag me. Increasing the rate would be silly, so I hope they remain the same.

Rifles for CQB and pistols for long range? You do realize that makes absolutely no sense?
Even the Star Was Wiki states that

A pistol may have been the one of the most common weapons, but was usually not the weapon of choice, mainly due to its short range and lack of power.

ETA: I can see that the wiki states that the "Han Solo" blaster is more accurate than the E-11. That still makes no sense   roll

Re: Pilsols

No sense to a narrow minded person who expects everything a certain way wink

Think outside the box, First Strike is different.

Re: Pilsols

yes and besides... with the default rebel pistol you can kill an enemy storm trooper with an e-11 at close range if your reflexes are okay, the pistols are already far better than they are in bf vanilla, so I think it should stay the way it is...
an really with officer you shouldn't just charge head on, if you sneak well, even on your own, you can take out a lot of enemies with their highly accurate pistol... maybe not very quick, but accurate enough so it works for me!
