well, depends on how many players are on the server and which map is being played... endor and mos espa have the push style gameplay (on endor empire can JUST defend, so u got it really wrong in there) and also on mos espa you have some choke points sometimes near some CPs, so you could set up a defense there aswell. on mos entha its rather hard, but in start its pretty much obvious where the enemy will come from, so you might set up defences aswell, though you have to advance then to their flags...

Re: The Support class, or: "sorry, we ran out of useful guns".
The support class is decent enough, I get a nice amount of kills with the gun (but you are right about the Heavy class massacring infantry), and the trip mines are very very very handy at Ewok village (until some idiot on my team who cant see the BIG-TRIANLGE-BLINKY-THING-WITH-A-BIG-RED-X-ABOVE it trips it, goes splat, and punishes me!). The AV mines are adequate, but I bet we'll see better uses when the real ground vehilces come out. The EMP rifle is real lame now... it better be useful when more vehicles come out. Beyond that idk sure the support could be emboldened but... from what I hear, Endor version 2.0 will need great use of both sides Det Packs. BTW: Honestly, I find it really funny that the Support Class's gun runs out of ammo the quickest too.

Well since you can resupply yourself then it shouldn't really matter.

The anti vehicle mines are kinda cr*ppy imo, but maybe I'm just spoiled by motion mines. The EMP rifle doesn't stop an at-st from moving, so idk what it does other then mess up aim a little. (at least the interference for infantry seems a lot longer in FS) Actually I think the officer pistol has the least ammo, but it's still kinda ironic.
