Re: Mines and Teamkills

I also posted on this. It's really annoying. There apparently is a server setting to turn it off, but I got the idea not too many server mods read this or really care about it.

Never have that problem and I only play ranked.

Also there are several ways to get around APM mines in 2142 (walking, crouching, proning or deactivating them).   APM mines in FS are un beatable, someone has to run into them inorder to get rid of them.

Re: Mines and Teamkills

Almost any grenade (other than the medic grenades) will get rid of them.  The PMG and Torpedo launcher should clear them out also

Re: Mines and Teamkills

They need to be destroyable by blasters.

And you people need to stop putting them near freindly CPs.

I know you are thinking "oh but its for defense." Well too bad, you ARE going to kill more friendlies than enemies if you place them WHERE ALLIES ARE SPAWNING. Put them farther away and your teammates will be more aware of their surroundings and they will spot your mines easier. If you insist on placing them near friendly CPs I will punish you every time I accidentally run into one. It is overall YOUR FAULT if you place them so close to the spawn points to where people aren't aware of them  fast enough and they take less than 20 steps and KABOOM. And I could care less about your "justifications" of putting them near CPs. But frankly I dont wan't to hear it, you are hindering your teams advancements.

Now if you are placing them a pretty far distance out from CPs and your teammates are no where near danger, I don't mind at all, its their fault usually.

Re: Mines and Teamkills

I generally try and put them about eye level and facing towards the direction my teammates will come from.  That way even if they have nametags off they'll still see them blinking away, but enemies coming round the corners won't see em till they're too late.  I also make sure to include at least one route out of whereever I placed em

What the hell. These people better quit throwing these things in strategic locations. Punish him too, that'll teach him. Ohh, whats that, a red X? BOOM!.........ect"

I quit using them because people juts run into, boom and punish. Shame, as they are a incredibly useful.

Sad but true, I don't put them right where people spawn, but people still run into them.......maybe it's because their used to claymores being on the ground, and so are puzzled when their on a wall (where I always put them).

On a side note to the thread starter: Idk why, but your avatar creeps me the hell out.

I put them in areas where the ENEMY WILL move through, but theres allways a random retarded friendly who runs blindly over it then punishes. Also I often see people stop a distance away look at the mine then continue on, BOOM punsish.......F*********************CATS ON*******SPONGE..............RETARDED **********BAS*******..............
