How about you dont lose points for a proxy mine tk?

Well i cut live with that and also not getting points for a actuly kill, first off all i play for the team and with my team to win the hole match to be honest i cuten care less for points dosent realy show enything (i mean somone can have shitload off points on the escape from Hoth map and all he did is fly a Transport and the Tie´s crashed into him and he get alot off points) what im trying to say is people still play medics and use the 2 different grenades they have, even though it dosent show up as a kill atleast i dont get a messege that i killed somone with a medic grenade and so i wouldent care iff i get a kill with a proximity mine, aslong as it stop´s the enemy, i would be more then happy.

So please make so its still possible to spot a frindly mine but also remove the kill and the TK iff possible im all in for that. I mean the only thing that would happen is the guy that moves into the mine frindly or not would die and iff he is a frindly trying to anoying people with giving them TK etc etc he wouldet achive enything then he´s own death, and a respawn.

Or just do like with the APMs in Vanilla...Make the Proximity Mines Universally FF=OFF.

Re: Proximity mine Disarm

The only reason i ever want to know about a kill is to make sure the people i wanted dead are dead. But i never use mines so dont listen to me

Re: Proximity mine Disarm

I like the mines, but hate the people that punish for them.

Maybe they could be changed into "player is no more" kinda deaths so that they're unpunishable?

Never really cared if I got the kill using mines.

I despise using the term, but... lol! lol

would be nice iff it whas a server setting to make mines only blow up enemies.

I thought that was the case...

Anyway, I have a thought on a quick, easy, relatively silent (as opposed to grenades or rocket launchers) way to remove enemy mines.  In SW lore, you'd need a 'slicer' (hacker) to disable anything 'smart'... like a mine that detects friend/foe. Some of the best slicers are... wait for it... droids!

One of the classes' droids could be changed to drive out on its own (like IT-0) when it detects a mine within a certain radius, and start 'sweeping' the area, disabling (removing) them.

If this ends up nerfing mines too much, you could have a slight random chance (10%?) that the droid fails and gets blown up.

But then you would just have the droid defusing friendly proximity mines, and that just pissed people off...
