Re: What are your Vehicle Tips?

I think this one is way too important to go unmentioned: Never bail from a doomed AT-ST in a combat situation. For an Imperial player, this is one of the best ways to make sure your vehicle ends up in Alliance hands: far too often the Rebels seize firing on the walker the second you leave it and concentrate on killing you instead, for then to repair the walker and use it for themselves. I myself have procured several walkers this way - kill the stormie, drive the walker off to a safe spot for repairs, and unleash Hell on the Imperials with it once it's fixed up.

Better to die like a hero in your walker and have it be destroyed, than to bail and get killed on the ground, for then to have your teammates killed by your walker later on.

THis situation actually came up last night when I was playing on TME.  I was a co-pilot in the ATST, we took too much damage, and the pilot ran off.   I was the Heavy Weapons class, and decided to scuttle the ATST so that no one would pick it up.

LOL. I'm a witch hunter, you should know, and you should never tell a witch hunter he's a heretic.  They have views on that sort of nonsense… the kind of views that also involve your kneecaps…

Re: What are your Vehicle Tips?

I was on a speeder bike today as a Trooper, and got to have a duel in and around the Slave Quarters with LordDill, who was on foot as a sniper. I shot at him with the bike's laser cannon, jumped to the second seat and used my E-11 and grenades, and boosted the bike away whenever he had me in his sights, only to come back at him from a different angle. I was truly deadly, and would've been even more so had I had someone riding shotgun so that I didn't have to change seats to fire my weapons.

Use that speeder bike, people. It's the most versatile vehicle I've ever seen in any FPS game. Its only drawback is that it's not all that sturdy, but it's so useful (read: near-overpowered tongue ) that it really needs a drawback or two.

I'd love to see the Rebels get a swoop bike, with one seat, no laser, and faster speed.
