Re: November 24 th a good deadline for you to meet

Im telling you , the Fall holidays is the best time to target a new audience and entice new users.  BUT before X-mas  as you will have lost alot of demographics to the new PC games , and some console titles.

Re: November 24 th a good deadline for you to meet

Just because you got some new name for deadline doesn't change a thing lol.

Target = Deadline.

Deadlines = Bad.

Hooking  players -prior- to new game releases would be best. That way when they're cutting down trees in Crysis they will have visions of X-Wings dancing in their heads. First Strike has actually kept me from Point of Existence and the Orange Box lately - and that's even with the WOLF gaming server seemingly stuck on frickin' Endor. The Endor moon map is nice, but GEE-SUS. Space battles are where it's at smile

No, waiting until it's done would be best.

Re: November 24 th a good deadline for you to meet

The biggiest obstacle we face is time, we don't get paid to do this on a regular basis. It means we have to sacrifice our personal time to build this game, I cant tell you how many nights I would see all my friends online playing or testing while I was still working on a build. A few of us even put in over 40 hours a week just on the mod in addition to families, work, school etc. I would agree with TY that its best to let us finish it when its ready as we have internal deadlines we try to shoot for, but its not appropriate to share those with the community. If you want more players, we need your help in spreading the word and we need people to exercise some common sense and patience when expressing your expections.

We the Devs appreciate your loyalty to our work and all we can say is thank you for making this important to you as it is to us!

Trust me , I am your PR man , and I have done a couple mod maps for SWBF2 , so I know how the work cuts into your actual game playing time (my clan thought I left)  hours upon hours of setting in objects, making file backups , munging , checking ingame diagnosing , figuring out how to get things to work (like rain effects) , finding bugs and glitches and changing it so they work . Going to GAMETOAST and asking for advice . Been there done that.  I don't want to see First Strike get obsoleted before it has a chance to grow , so this is why Im pushing for a new content update , knowing how tough it is.  If you would like to sample my work ~go to filefront battlefront files -custom maps -star Wars battlefront 2 - Mos Eisley Dawn 2 , or Acid World of Vjun.
