WW2 been done to death and beyond by movies and games.   Its gimiky because if ya do a WW2 movie your gunna get a good turn out no matter the craptasticness of the actual movie (Pearl Harbor anyone?).   Its bad because its unoriginal and the sign of stagnation in movies.

Yers right. My apoligies. I think I was using you're quote to also fill in for all the other people talking about a flimsy story. My point was it has a flimsy story because it needed only an excuse. It could be made into a movie or book, but obviously the  movie or book would embelish and introduce more elements.

SD: Do you send a detachment of 5 or so men all over occupied France to find 1 guy and tell him his brother is dead so he doesn't need to fight? Uhm that would be the Gimmick as that doesn't actually HAPPEN. The movie's plot was an excuse to have a series of WWII battles on different areas.

I realy think that a Mass Effect movie, or a Gears of War movie would be better, than a BF2142 movie. I mean look at how bad Hitman the movie turned out to be? it was total crap story wise, and had bad acting on top of that.

I think with alot more storyline it would be a good movie. but you could say that about alot of other games like, HALO, Gears of War and many more games, so there is a large option to choose from and i still think they wud all be sucseses.
