Hm, i think what is a key point.
At first i think it should be a asymetric gameplay - so each side has a specific goal on which they can - and must - concentrat.
One side has to defend their ship, the other side has to attack.
This will avoid one of the key faults of Titan Mode the "No one defends our Titan" Syndrome.
Like in TitanMode, TroopTransporters (Lambda class Shuttle ?) should be spawnpoints.
To avoid a simple "Conquest in Space" each "Station" ( Flag ) on the ship should have a specific Funktion, you can use if you control it.
Most Flags should be able to enter from the Outside of the Ship (due hatches oder breaches in the hull)
-Docking Bay: enough room to land two or more Shuttles
-Fighter Hanger: Spawns Fighters
-Bridge: AA GunControll
-Reactor: Shields
-Engines: No Funktion
But their should also be small and very long corridors to conect the stations. Some Flags may be only accesable via the corridors.
-Weapon Storage, Crew Quarters, PrisonBlock: Spawnpoints for Infanterie
BF2 / BF 2142 allows some destructible elements. Like the bridges or the patched wooden walls in BF2. In Boarding Action some hatches could be destructible.
Some thougts about gameplay:
"Rebellious Crewmebers have managed to sabotage a Stardestroyers Engines. While the loyal Fraction of the StarDestroyers Crew try to get in the Engine Room, a Rebell Fleet with Marines arrive to Capture the immobile Ship."
Rebs Controll the EngineRoom, Imps the Rest of the Ship an it's escorts (Transports & Lancer).
Rebs have some Escorts & Fighters outside of the Ship (Corellian & Nebulon B Frigatte , Transports, Lambda Class Shuttles ).
Imps must take the EngineRoom to remove the Rebs spawnpoint from the ship. I should be easy for the Imps take this Station, it's only in the map to allow a inf-only gameplay if their are too few players on the server.
After the EngineRoom is secure, the rebs must:
-Take out the SDs Shield by destroying the Generators on the outside of the ship
-Enter the SD via landing near the Bridge or EngineRoom and open a hatch with explosives
-or land a Shuttle in the Dockingbay / Fighter Hangar.
After taking a Station on the SD, the Rabs may try to go to the next station via corridors or the outside, using explosives to open hatches.
The Imps should be able to fix guns, hatches, Shieldgenerators with the fusion cutter.
