The center-of-gravity issue is noticeable in certain situations, but I really don't think it's game-breaking. It's just a little...awkward at first.

Well obviously its not game breaking, but considering I'm grognarding its pretty big wink

Anal grognard butt!

Technically, I think the speederbikes (from a design and atmospheric effect standpoint) should probably turn at the very front, on the airfoils there.  Not that they were depicted that way in the films, of course...

Today's spelling/grammar tip: There = a (sometimes conceptual) place. "There is my car." or "There is such a thing as magic."  // Their = posessive. "Their meat is full of worms." // They're = contraction of <they are>. "They're crazy!" // "They're trying to put their shoes up there."

Heck NO!
Think about it, imagine if 747's turned at the tail rudder/elevators instead of the fuselage, do you know how massively stupid that would look?
And if the speeder bikes did that you wud be forever knocking your rear end on stuff.
bah

Re: Call me an anal grognard, but...

True with the 747's, but remember that all the X-wing's manuevering systems, including maneuvering jets, ailerons, repulsorlifts, and flaps, are located on the back of the wings... pretty far back on the craft. The only outside maneuvering system is located near the nose of the ship; a repulsorlift used for stability when hovering or landing.

hmmm a good point, I'm not quite sure how to respond to that, other than to say that when you watch the movies they seem pivot from the back wink

...AND THAT you should remember that vehicles shouldn't always pivot from a fixed position as forward or reverse thrust affects the how the it moves.

==ALSO== I would like to point out that the X-wing and the Speederbike are not the only crafts with this problem; the capitol ships seem to pivot from the center which may or may not be accurate, and if the fix is as simple as I think it is maybe it should be fixed for the sake of lore accuracy in the next patch.

yeahy i never liked how they pivot in the middle. I really hope the snow speeders pivot from the rear.

i love this mod, but if the snow speeders are fubar, i'll quit. those things are the only reason i'm here.

that's not really true.. but i'll be really grumpy.

the only issue i seem to have with the Cap ships is getting them close enough to the freighter/transport ships to repair without running into them while trying to position myself.

It's not Camping anymore, it's "Strategic Defense".

... I didn't ram you, i simply didn't care that you were in my way.
